Mangaluru: Fake cop arrested for duping woman

Mangaluru: Police officials have arrested a man who posed as a police officer and duped a woman in Kavoor.

The accused has been identified as Shivraj Devadiga, a resident of Eshwar Nagar, Kavoor.

As per the police report, Shivraj posed as a police officer and threatened the victim Savita by stating that a complaint had been filed against her for running a massage parlor and hoarding a significant amount of gold and cash.

He further demanded a sum of Rs 38,000 to settle the matter.

However, Savita filed a police complaint the the accused has been arrested
