Mangaluru: Illegal slaughterhouse raided by police, Three arrested

In a crackdown on illegal activities, the Mangaluru rural police conducted a raid on an unauthorized slaughterhouse located in a house in Valachhil.

The operation resulted in the seizure of 180 kilograms of beef, with three individuals taken into custody on charges related to the illicit operation.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Khader Muhammad, also known as Monu (52), a resident of Adyar Valachhil, Ismail (27) from Marippal, and Muhammad Shaveer (18) from Adyarpadavu.

Acting on this information, law enforcement officials raided the residence of Khader Muhammad in Valachhil. Subsequently, the accused individuals were apprehended, and the seized beef was confiscated as evidence.

The trio now faces legal repercussions under the Cattle Slaughter Prevention and Protection Ordinance of 2020.

Following their arrest, the accused were presented before the court to face charges related to their alleged involvement in illegal slaughter activities.
