Pebbles, a four-pound dog, was born on March 28, 2000, and is now 22 years old. Bobby and Julie Gregory of South Carolina, USA, own him.

Last month, when TobyKeith was named the world’s oldest living dog, the Gregorys realised Pebbles was older and applied to Guinness World Records.

“She was jumping and barking so much at Bobby that he had no choice but to pick her up and check her out. It was instant love the second the two met,” Julie told Guinness World Records.

Pebbles is normally quiet and affectionate, but when she is awakened, she becomes irritable. She spends her days sleeping in till 5 o’clock in the afternoon while listening to country music.

She adores scritches and cuddles, as well as the attention she receives from her humans.

Rocky, Pebbles’ companion, is also a Toy Fox Terrier. Over the course of three litters, the two had a total of 24 puppies.

Rocky, her 16-year-old “husband,” died in 2017, and she became a “widow” in 2017.

Summer is her favourite season because she gets to play in the pool and soak up the sun. She also enjoys playing with her father, Bobby, in the garden under the palm tree.

Pebbles’ 22nd birthday was marked by a stack of ribs and a warm bubble bath.
