Taking to Twitter she has said, “Having worked with hundreds of government school teachers and students in the area of Mid-Day Meals for close to 20 years. Currently, thru Adamya Chetana serving food to 2 lakh children every day from 4 kitchens I have learnt few things:”

In the flowing tweet threads, she has tweeted, “1. In our unequal society there are only a few places where a child is treated equally. School is one such place. Schools that is why have uniforms so that a child’s social identities do not affect their education. 4. Karnataka as a large and diverse producer of lentils should include sprouts which are superfoods. This is not only pro-nutrition but also pro-farmers of Karnataka. However, if the govt wants to provide eggs they should be given as a take-home ration along with other foods and fruits or Chikkis equivalent for non egg eaters”.

Further, she added, “We are committed to providing nutritious meals to children through govt’s Mid-Day Meal scheme in accordance with rules designed for the health & wellness of children. However, we need to discuss with nutrition experts, educationists & social science scientists & find a solution”.
