This year round, the flower show has been dedicated to former Mysuru ruler Jayacharamaja Wodeyar as part of the birth centenary celebration and has been attracting several visitors due to the royal theme.
With Thursday being a government holiday, the show witnessed a footfall of nearly 1,72,100 with adults constituting 1,31,000 and children 41,100. In 2018 the show had attracted some 1.76 lakhs visitors and the amount collected was around Rs 2.36 crore in a span of 12 days
Speaking to media Jagadeesh M, Joint Director, Horticulture (Parks) said that this is a record-breaker in the history of the flower show. “This is the 210th flower show and this time we have had the highest number of visitors in one single day,” he added.

The Maharaja statue and mandapa is decorated with 50,000 orange roses, 1.5 lakh red roses, 50,000 white roses, 4500 twigs and 3000 orchids with further many more attractions to see.
The tickets are priced at Rs 70 for adults while for kids below the age of 12 it is Rs 20. Tickets can be purchased directly at all entry points to the garden or online via BookMyShow or PayTM.
