Mangaluru: Animals play an important role in our lives. Some research studies have found that people who have a pet have healthier hearts; stay home sick less often, make fewer visits to the doctor, get more exercise, and are less depressed. Pets may also have a significant impact on allergies, asthma, social support, and social interactions with other people.

Over the years Animal Care Trust (ACT) has been receiving such encouraging feedback from people who have adopted either a puppy or kitten from them. Thus, motivating them to regularly organize camps where puppies and kittens are put up for adoption. While on one hand these camps serve as a good platform for people to find their pet companions, on the other hand it gives new lease of life for the puppies and kittens as they find their forever homes.

About ACT

ACT came into existence on 30.03.2000 in order to provide care and shelter to stray, sick, and abandoned animals. ACT has been promoting adoption of Desi breeds, as we often find that desi breeds are subjected to abuse and abandoned. These dogs forage for food on the streets, where they face threats to life from traffic and humans.
