The day commenced with a special Pooja dedicated to Lord Shiva, setting a spiritual tone for the proceedings. Following the religious ceremony, the official drive commenced, focusing on cleaning the pathway from the top of the Shiva temple down. The student volunteers actively collected plastic waste and various other debris, ensuring the temple surroundings were restored to their pristine condition.
The drive not only aimed at physical cleanliness but also included an awareness campaign urging the public not to litter and to be mindful of the local fauna, particularly the monkeys in the area. The volunteers emphasized the importance of responsible waste disposal to prevent harm to both the environment and the animals.
The success of the event was bolstered by the tremendous support received from the temple administration. Chandrashekhar Shetty and Praveen Poojary, representing the temple administration, actively participated in the drive, demonstrating a shared commitment to the cause.
