Kinnigoli: A woman dies after the SUV in which she was travelling fell into a river near Sankalakeri in Kinnigoli. The deceased won is identified as Diana Mascarenas (45), a resident of Bola in Karkala taluk. The other three passengers within the Bolero car have been rescued.

The deceased Diana was travelling along with her family to attend a wedding of a relative when the tragedy struck.
The vehicle was going along the bridge across the Shambhavi River at Sankalakeri in Kinnigoli when it lost control and toppled into the river. The locals immediately attempted to rescue the passengers of the vehicle and were successful in saving three lives, but Diana drowned.
The injured three passengers have been admitted to the local hospital here. Diana lost her life on the spot. Mulki police have visited the location and registered a case in this connection.
