Reportedly, the attackers Toufeeq and Rasheed were travelling from Kinnipadav to Vamanjoor in a car. Along their route a two-wheeler rider named Javed came on their way. Irked by this, the duo got out of their car and picked up a fight with Javed. However, as Javed was a local, the nearby people came to support him. In the confusion, the two aforementioned locals sustained stab injuries and were rushed to the hospital. Incidentally, Javed escaped unhurt.
According to another source, Toufeeq was an Ola driver while the injured Sarfaraz was a taxi driver at MIA. Apparently, Toufeeq attacked the latter in connection to the tension that prevailed at MIA on Wednesday, says the source.
On Wednesday, a fight broke out at MIA around 3:30pm in the afternoon in between the airport taxi drivers and the drivers of cab aggregator Ola, which resulted into four persons getting injured.
