The deity, speaking through the medium, questioned, “Is this a sacred field for Valsari or a marketplace? Should I step over garbage? I will not descend for Valsari until the trash and the stalls near the sacred lamp are cleared.”

The field where the ritual was conducted was littered with waste, including ice cream cups and other garbage, as it had also been used as a marketplace during the festival.

Acting promptly, the festival organizers cleared the trash and moved the stalls away from the sacred lamp area. Only after the field was cleaned did the rituals resume.

The incident has highlighted the need for better management and cleanliness during such religious events to honor the sanctity of the rituals and the sentiments of the devotees.
