Udupi: A young student from Udupi has captured the internet’s attention by adding a unique flute touch to Ed Sheeran’s globally renowned hit, Perfect.
Srikrishna Revankar, a student of Poornaprajna College, performed the popular romantic ballad during his college’s annual day celebrations. Clad in his college uniform, Srikrishna’s melodious voice won over the audience, who enthusiastically sang along. However, what truly elevated his performance was the soulful flute segment he introduced midway through the song, blending classical Indian elements with the modern tune.
A short clip of his performance, shared on Instagram, has gone viral, amassing widespread appreciation. He later uploaded the full rendition on YouTube, which has been garnering praise ever since. Social media users have lauded the innovative flute segment, with comments like, “I was waiting for the flute part, and it was worth it!” and “The flute added such a magical touch. Truly perfect!” Another user remarked, “This was incredible; the performance lives up to its name—Perfect.”
Speaking to Udayavani, Srikrishna expressed his joy and said, “I am overwhelmed that my performance has reached thousands of hearts. This is just the beginning of my journey in musical content creation. I hope to continue receiving this kind of support in the future.”
