He made this declaration during a meeting with district JDS Scheduled Caste-Tribe representatives, leaders, and activists held at Janakshmi Kalyana Mandapam in the city.
Gowda said that he would campaign for not just the constituencies where JD(S) candidates are contesting but all the seats where the alliance is contesting, including for candidates Shobha Karandlaje, Somanna, Kota Srinivas Poojary and B. Y. Raghavendra.
Deve Gowda said the aim is not just about winning the Lok Sabha elections but about ushering in a new era in Karnataka’s governance. The Congress government must be replaced by a BJP-JDS coalition government, he said adding that who leads the coalition is not important, but the commitment is also to end the tenure of the Congress government.
