The Covid Advisory Committee had put forth the suggestion of setting up mobile vaccination centres with all facilities for monitoring and storage of vaccines at big apartment complexes during a recent meeting. This initiative will help people, especially senior citizens come forward to take the vaccines at their doorstep.

The logistics to set up such centres is being worked out and very soon it will be implemented, stated experts. Further, an ambulance will be kept on standby in case of any emergency situation that would require the beneficiary to be shifted to the hospital.

Meanwhile on Tuesday Karnataka reported 1,135 cases of Covid-19 infection, with Bengaluru alone adding 710 new cases. The last time Karnataka saw the numbers crossing the 1,000 mark was on December 25, when the state reported 1,005 Covid-19 cases.
