Hassan: Depressed son commits suicide after seeing mother suffer from Covid-19

Hassan: A depressed son committed suicide after seeing his mother suffer from Covid-19 on Monday, April 26, in Hassan

The deceased identified as Sharath Kumar (30) is a resident of Shanivarasanthe, Somavarpet of Kodagu District. He hanged himself on the terrace of HIMS hospital, Hassan. His hanging body was found by hospital workers on Monday  morning

Sharath’s mother who tested positive for Covid-19 was admitted to the hospital 10 days ago. But, her health kept deteriorating, and Sharath became depressed

It is said that on Sunday night, Sharath had spoken to his brother over phone. He requested his brother to come and visit their mother as he can’t see her suffering.

A case has been registered and investigation is underway
