Speaking to reporters in the Deputy Commissioner’s office here he said, “If such cases have any truth in them then please release it. If any wrong was done then those responsible should be punished. The people are watching us. We had to go to court to defend our honour. Ramesh Jarkiholi’s video could be fake.”

“All those who left Congress and JD(S) are being conspired against. We are being personally targeted. We will not worry about it. It is not correct to politicise such issues,” he added.

“The State government is taking action in connection with the Ramesh Jarkiholi case. It is being investigated whether the CD is real,” Gowda said.

“I have not spoken with Ramesh Jarkiholi after the incident. His case has been politicised. One day the truth will come out. No minister has met in any hotel for any discussion,” he clarified.

“I have lived in honestly Mumbai. I was not involved in stealing, robbing or any check bounce case. Yet I am being called a “Mumbai thief.’ Why is it? I will soon retire from politics. Such accusations are not good,” he said.
