A seat-sharing agreement was established between JD(s) and NCP after JD(S) announced its willingness to share 5-7 seats in the Bombay-Karnataka and Hyderabad-Karnataka regions, where Mr. Pawar has a following.
“Mr. Pawar turned a rally “for unity among border residents” into an election campaign meeting for the MES. He canvassed for MES candidates claiming it would support the case of Belgavi’s merger with Maharashtra in the Supreme Court,” said JD(S) state president H.D. Kumaraswamy after calling off the alliance with NCP.
