In a series of tweets, Siddaramaiah said, Thousands of Kannadigas who are working in Hotels of Mumbai are left stranded without salary, food, and shelter. Yediyurappa should arrange transportation to get them back to our state and arrange for screening and quarantine facilities.”
“Migrant workers are going back to their states from Maharashtra, except those from Karnataka. Chief Minister of Maharashtra Uddav Thackery claims lack of response and support from Karnataka govt for this fiasco. BS Yediyurappa should resolve the issue at the earliest,” Siddaramaih claimed.
“Hotel owners are trying to convince Uddav Thackery to grant lockdown relaxation to hotels. There are allegations that this is the reason for not arranging train facilities by both Karnataka and Maharashtra. Governments of both the states are betraying migrant labourers,” said Siddaramaih.
