Karkala: Group spreads message of cleanliness through wall paintings

Karkala: Swachha Karkala Brigade, a group focussing on sanitation and cleanliness, has in collaboration with Jeerondharaka Sangha has made paintings on walls to create awareness on the issue.

The walls around the Jain monastery at Karkala and other walls in the areas surrounding ​​the Gomateshwara hills are being painted with various images expounding cleanliness.

The images in the paintings portray the subjects of philosophy and Tulunadu culture such as rathotsav, yakshagana, hulivesha and bhootada kola.

“Painting works have also been started around the Sri Bhagavan hills. About 100 metres of the wall of the Jain monastery has been covered. We will be expanding the works with the cooperation of all in the coming days,” said MK Vipul Tej, member of the Brigade.
