KSRTC to resume services between Kerala-Karnataka; Covid negative test result or one Covid vaccine dose mandatory

Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada DC Rajendra K V has announced the resumption of bus services between Kerala- Karnataka from July 19 with strict Covid-19 protocols in place.

As per the order, the passengers from Kerala will have to carry a negative RT-PCR test report obtained less than 72 hours prior to travel or a vaccination certificate of having received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine.

Also, Students, businessmen, among others who travel on a daily basis to the state from Kerala should get tested every 15 days and must carry the RT-PCR report along with them.

The order further states that it is the responsibility of the bus conductors to verify the vaccine certificates or Covid-19 test reports of the passengers.

All the passengers must strictly follow Covid-19 protocols such as wearing masks and maintaining social distancing. If failed, violators will be booked under the Karnataka Epidemic Diseases Act, 2020 and Disaster Management Act, 2005, it  added.
