K'taka High Court decides to go online

Bengaluru: Due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the city, the Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court Justice A S Okha has decided to move work of the high court online.

Registrar General Rajendra Badamikar has already issued a notice in the wake of the order of the Chief Justice. The order states that emergency cases will be conducted through video conference until the next order is issued.

In order also states, that only the principal seat (Bengaluru) will be conducting proceedings online. Dharwad and Kalaburagi courts will continue to function as usual.

Chief Justice Okha has stated that priority will be given to the disposal of Public Interest Litigations.
