This opportunity has been won by Leksa Lighting Technologies pvt ltd located at Kudripadavu in Moodbidri. This company has installed electric lights of special technology on the outside of the stadium and thereby increased the international level hockey tournament’s beauty even more.
All the matches of the Hockey World Cup will be held at Kalinga stadium. Since it is an international tourney, thousands of foreigners will also come to view this. In this backdrop, since the first day, around 700 lights have been installed at the cost of Rs 1 crore at the four doors and also the surrounding outer wall. It is special that the entire responsibility of this has been taken up by a company based in the Karavali.
More than 40 people from Karavali are involved in the maintenance. On the outer panels on the four sides of the stadium have been decorated with various types of lights and is attracting visitors. In order to make the entrances more attractive, multi coloured lights have been used as decoration. For the decoration of outside the stadium, spec lights, linear wash light, spot light and RGBW spot lights have been used.

The maintenance of all the lights on the outside of the stadium is done from a single control room only. By using a DMX signal control board, all LED lights are controlled. The installed lights have the technology of changing colours. In order to prevent any trouble due to rain, LED strips have been used.
Opportunity for decoration
Odisha government had invited tenders for the light decoration on the outside of the stadium. Noticing the diversity and designs sent by Moodbidri’s Leksa Lighting Technologies pvt ltd, the Odisha government gave the opportunity to Leksa Company.
“Till now we have done many national, international programmes, stages, cinema, serials and other set lightings. But this is the first time an opportunity has been given to maintain an international level sport tournament,” said Ronald Sullivan D’Souza, CEO of Leksa Lighting Technologies pvt ltd
