Lok Sabha adjourned till noon

New Delhi: The Lok Sabha was today adjourned till noon, barely a couple of minutes after it was convened for the day. MPs from the Telugu Desam Party and the Telangana Rashtriya Samiti rushed into the Well as soon as the proceedings began.

AIADMK MPs also joined the protest over the Cauvery river issue. Speaker Sumitra Mahajan tried to take up the Question Hour, but the uproar by lawmakers led to the adjournment of the House.

Since March 5, when Parliament had reassembled for the budget session after recess, the Lok Sabha has seen disruptions on a daily basis.

Amid noisy protests, the House had passed the Finance Bill and the appropriation bills last week without any discussion.
