The verdict was expected today (October 17), however, The third additional civil court reserved the verdict for November 9.
The dispute began after a Hindu temple-like structure was found at the Juma Masjid at Malali during its renovation in April this year.
Following the discovery, VHP and other Hindu organizations had demanded a full probe and a survey through a court-appointed commissioner. A petition was filed by T A Dhananjaya and B A Manoj Kumar in the III Additional Civil Court in Mangaluru seeking a survey of the mosque.

In June this year, the Karnataka High Court had directed the Mangaluru-based lower court not to pronounce its verdict on the maintainability of an original suit that seeks to survey a local mosque.
