Varun K, a resident of Sachidananda Nagar near Kengeri Satellite Town, had reportedly given his car to his friend Ravi, who without Varun’s knowledge had pledged it to obtain a loan. Some three days ago Varun came to know that  Ravi used the car as collateral for a loan and demanded the car back.

He called Ravi out for cheating and asked him to return it, this angered Ravi and their argument turned into a full-blown fight. Following which the bar staff intervened and sent the men out.

Both the men again started to fight out the bar and in a fit of rage, Ravi took out a knife and stabbed Varun. As passersby rushed to Varun’s rescue, Ravi fled from the spot. Varun later died in a hospital owing to severe bleeding, informed sources.

A case with regard has been registered with the Byatarayanapura police. The police are now hunting for Ravi.
