The convicted individuals are Mustaq (32) and Zakir (36), both residents of Ullal. The accused 2, Yaseen, and accused 3, Ashraf Samosa (50), are currently on the run.
Case Details
On December 17, 2015, at around 11:15 PM, the four accused were creating a disturbance by throwing bottles near the main gate of the Sayyad Madani Dargah in Ullal village. Based on this information, Head Constable Umesh and Constable Ravindra rushed to the spot in a PCR vehicle. When they questioned the group about their behavior, the accused verbally abused them and issued a death threat.

The then PSI of Ullal Station filed charges under IPC Sections 504, 506, 353, 332, 307, and 34, accusing the defendants of committing the crime.
After hearing the case, Judge Kantaraju S.V. of the 6th Additional District and Sessions Court convicted the accused. The sentences include: 2 years in jail and a fine of Rs 2,000 under IPC Section 504; 7 years in jail and a fine of Rs 5,000 under Section 506; 2 years in jail and a fine of Rs 2,000 under Section 353; 2 years in jail and a fine of Rs 2,000 under Section 332; and 10 years in jail with a fine of Rs 5,000 under Section 307.
Initially, government prosecutor B. Shekhar conducted the examination of two witnesses. The remaining witness testimonies and arguments were presented by government prosecutor Chowdhury Motilal.
