Manipal: Fire breaks out at footwear shop; goods gutted

Manipal: A fire mishap occurred in the renowned footwear shop at Manipal on Thursday night and materials worth lakhs of rupees were destroyed in the incident.

The incident took place after the owner closed the shop at night. The fire erupted due to an electrical short circuit in the shop and had spread to a nearby shop.

The entire building was under smoke. Fire service personnel reached the spot to douse the fire.
