Manipal: Leopard attacks pet dogs, spreads fear among locals

Manipal: Residents of Havanje and Keelanje here are spending restless nights following the leopard attack on pet dogs here.

The leopard which has been on the prowl in the locality during night time had preyed on the pet dogs of local residents Ganapathy Nayak and Jayashetti Bannanje thus creating a sense of fear among the public.

Earlier, local residents faced the issue of wild boar attacks and now are worried about the leopard. The issue has been brought to the notice of forest department officials and locals have demanded they take adequate action.
