Manipal: Women are forever a symbol of celebration, enthusiasm, and liveliness, said Rashmita Yuvaraj, the excellent PU College administrator.

She was addressing a ceremony during the awards ceremony of ‘Navaroopa’ Photo Contest of Udayavani on the occasion of Navratri held at the main office of “Udayavani” in Manipal on Friday.

By holding this contest, “Udayavani” has infused a new spirit into the festive fervor, enhancing the excitement of women. With the presence of sarees and ornaments, it adds to their beauty. IT provided an opportunity for women to celebrate by adorning sarees during the festival, adding a lot of joy to modern-day hustle and bustle, she added.

Manipal Media Network Limited MD and CEO, Mr. Vinod Kumar, said that through the Navaroopa, over 50,000 ‘roopa’ were seen in just nine days, capturing invaluable moments of life in pictures. It showcases the bridge of relationships that “Navaroopa” builds. He expressed delight at the increasing number of participants in the contest year after year.

Editor Aravind Navada provided detailed information about “Navaroopa.” Radhakrishna Bhat Kodavoor, the head of the Udupi Market Department, read out the list of winners. Usha Rani Kamath, Senior Manager of HR, extended the vote of thanks. Ramachandra Mijar, Vice President (Magazines and Special Initiatives) of “Udayavani,” welcomed the gathering.
