More than 50,000 devotees are expected to participate in the event and seek blessings by hugging Amma who will be participating in several programmes on both the days, he informed.
As part of Brahmasthana Mahotsava, religious rituals like Navagraha Shanti Homa, Maha Sudarshana Homa, Bhavati Homa and Alankara Puja will be held from dawn to dusk on both the days. Bhajan and satsang programmes will also be held and participation of thousands of devotees is expected, he said.
“Amma’s visit is expected to draw devotees from in and around Mangaluru and other centres in Karnataka and outside India too. Amma will hug each and every individual devotee who visits her during the darshan programme. The devotees need not wait in long queues as the token numbers will be displayed on a screen. No sooner their token is displayed on the screen, devotees can seek blessings of Amma,” he informed.

The chief guests for the programme will include District In-charge Minister U T Khader, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Corporation Bank Managing Director P V Bharathi, Taranga weekly managing editor Sandhya S Pai, MLA Vedavyas Kamath, Mayor Bhaskar and others.
Under the self-employment initiative, sewing machines will be distributed to beneficiaries and saris to members of Amrutha Shri project. Also the foundation stone will be laid for the construction of a model toilet under Amala Bharat (Swachh Bharat) campaign, he informed.
