Minister Zameer reacts to the comments made against him by Tanveer

Bengaluru: Congress pioneer B Z Zameer Ahmed Khan has hit out at party colleague Tanveer Sait over the latter’s comments against him. 

Khan, who is the Food and Civil Supplies Minister, on Tuesday scrutinized Sait’s stature as a Muslim pioneer in the party, saying that the high command would have picked Sait for the Cabinet in the event that he truly was the face of the community.

The minister likewise tossed a challenge at Sait on his popularity in his own constituency.

“I will visit his constituency. Let him also come. We will see who manages to move a large crowd” he told reporters looking for his response to Sait’s ongoing remark that Khan was unfit to represent the Muslim community.

“The Congress has completed a proper study of leaders and chose capable leaders to become ministers. This has clearly confused leaders like Roshan Baig and Sait,” he said. Khan denied Sait’s charge that he attempted to defeat him in the elections. 

The minister said he had asked for a big car for his utilization from the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (DPAR). 

“I am used to going in a big cars. The Toyota Innova car given by the DPAR is a small one. It will be great if the Toyota Fortuner that Siddaramaiah was utilizing is given to me,” he said.
