Both had gone missing the same day. While investigating the disappearance, the police found the motor bike of Prasad Babu parked near the office of Tejas. They consequently questioned Tejas who acted innocent and assured the police he knew nothing about the victims.

The police however checked the video footage of the area and found two persons moving about suspiciously. Moreover, the police also got clue that Tejas was well-known to the deceased and had not repaid the loan. The police immediately arrested Tejas and his two accomplices and subjected them to questioning when they spilled the beans.
