Newly built bridge collapses in Chikmagalur

 Chikmagalur: A newly constructed bridge at Nellibeedu, Kalasa collapsed on Tuesday, fortunately, however, no casualties were reported.

The bridge was built at the cost of Rs 30 lakh.

It is said that the bridge was opened for traffic a week ago and it collapsed while a pick-up truck was crossing on Tuesday. However, locals managed to rescue the passengers.
