Reportedly, a few of the examinees, who left the centre before the completion of the exam might have uploaded a copy of the paper on social media which led to rumours of a paper leak.

Verifying the same, board officials ruled out possibility of a paper leak and said that such a situation arose due to the negligence of the invigilator.

V Sumangala, Director (Examinations), KSEEB, informed that the copy of the question paper was circulated on social media at around 11.30 am in Raichur. As per an investigation into the incident, it appears to be a deliberate attempt by miscreants to create confusion among the students.

“This comes under the provisions of section 24A of the Karnataka Education Act 1983. Section 115A provided for a minimum punishment of three years and maximum penalty of five lakhs,” she added.
