Opposition BJP members criticized the minister for forcing the SP to arrest Bhat even if he is innocent in the communal clashes. BJP demanded the resignation of the minister for his derogatory remarks against Bhat in the video tape uploaded on the internet. Reacting to the demand raised by the BJP members, Rai said, Hindu organisations are directly responsible for the violence in Kalladka as such organisations indulge in hatred.
