As there is great rainfall in the catchment zones of the reservoir, it gets 9000 cu secs water inflow and outpouring. Five gates of the reservoir have just been opened. Fifteen doors will be partially opened for water surge.
The water level in the Bhadra reservoir has not yet reached the dead storage level, which is around 116 feet, as it has the ability to store 76 TMC of water, being the biggest in the state.
