Natasha took to Twitter to confirm the news of her father’s demise and described him as the “Lion of Punjab, Son of Hindustan, and Lover of Canada”. She added that Fatah was a speaker of truth, a fighter for justice, and a voice for the oppressed.
Fatah was known for his progressive views on Islam and his strong stance on Pakistan. He was also a vocal supporter of the BJP-led NDA government in India.
Born in Pakistan in 1949, Fatah migrated to Canada in the early 1980s and worked as a political activist, journalist, and television host. He authored several books throughout his career.
