Political leaders visit SM Krishna after son-in-law goes missing

Bengaluru: Political leaders from across party lines including Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddiyurappa visited former Chief Minister SM Krishna, after his son-in-law and business tycoon VG Siddhartha went missing last night.

Former Karnataka CM, HD Kumaraswamy, BJP MLA Suresh Kumar, Congress MLA DK Shivakumar and NA Harris also visited the residence of the former union minister.

Meanwhile, expressing his shock over VG Siddhartha missing case, Congress leader and former MP Sanjay Nirupam tweeted, “Cafe Coffee Day was considered a huge success story in last 20 yrs. But suddenly, its owner and founder Sidharth is saying today that he failed as an entrepreneur. He is missing. What failed him eventually? Economic policy? Market forces? Or consumer behaviour? Or the recession has arrived? (SIC)”

Coffee Day founder and son-in-law of former chief minister S M Krishna, Siddharth Hegde is reported to have gone missing from near Nethravathi bridge here on Monday late night.

It is learnt that Siddharth had stepped out of his Innova car for a stroll after instructing his driver to park the car near Nethravathi bridge, however, he was not to be seen later.

Meanwhile rumours of him having committed suicide by jumping into the river started doing the rounds as police personnel began a search operation here. The police however have not confirmed the same.
