Preksha death case: Court remands youth to 14-day judicial custody

Mangaluru: A court has remanded Yatin Raj to 14-day judicial custody in connection with Preksha suicide case.

Raj was arrested on the charge of abetment to suicide in connection with the death of Preksha.

ON March 10, Preksha’s was found dead hanging and locals suspected this to be a case of murder since they had spotted three youths visiting her residence here. The police later detained the youths, including Yatin Raj for questioning.

During the questioning, the police gathered that Preksha who was supposed to leave for Bengaluru for a modelling assignment took the extreme step as she was told not to go to Bengaluru.

While two of the detained youths have been sent home after questioning, Raj has been arrested for suicide abetment.

Meanwhile, the police have also begun searching for 15 people part of a ganja gang, active in Ashraya colony.
