Speaking to the media persons in Mysuru on Thursday, progressive thinker who took part in the controversial inaugural session of the seminar, former Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) Mayor Purushotham and others apologised for the controversy. However, the sources said, BJP’s decision to hold statewide protest against Kalamandira beef row may have forced Purushotham and others to apologise.
Speaking to the journalists, Purushotham alleged, “some of the BJP leaders including Pratap Simha, Shobha Karandlaje and others have exaggerated the beef row creating false opinion among the people on the incident.”
