The rains of Monday on Tuesday have not yet caused the water to flow, but water has flowed to a few water holes. If there is continuous rain, the water flow in the river may begin in a couple of days, assume the officials.

Water from most of the water holes along the river’s path had been pumped and supplied till June 9th. But since the two days, the water level has dropped drastically. On Tuesday there was only 1M of water remaining. Most of the regions which were supposed to receive water on Tuesday faced water shortage. Besides, the water pipe at Eshwaranagar in Manipal burst open only worsening the situation.

Thumbay: Water level rises slightly

Mangaluru: In the backdrop of good rain received by the tributaries feeding Netravati River, the water level at Thumbay vented dam increased by 10cms on Tuesday.
