Rs 1 thousand crore released under Kisan Samman scheme

Bengaluru: Rs 1,000 crore under the Prime Minister Kisan Samman scheme has been released for the State. The released amount is being credited directly to the farmers’ bank account, Agriculture Minister BC Patil said.

Addressing the farmers on Facebook Live, the minister urged them to check their bank accounts.

In the address he also stated that crop insurance benefits for the year 2019-20 will also be credited directly to the farmers’ account from Tuesday, adding that the State government and the agriculture department will always be the backbone of the farmers.

He also stated that the draft rules for the recruitment of Raitra Mitra are nearing completion in the department.
