However, the gravity of the situation was realized later by the parents of the students who are regretting their action of giving the permission. Now the matter has given rise to many a discussion.

Earlier, when the students were in ninth standard, the teachers had spoken to the parents and informed them that the students would be promoted to tenth standard but will nonetheless have to spend two years in SSLC. Later during the upcoming SSLC examinations, the teachers did not register the names of the four students in October last year for the hall tickets. The names of the remaining 29 students were however registered to avail the hall tickets for them. It is alleged that the names of the four students were left out to achieve better results in the examinations.

Soon after receiving information of the issue, Bantwal education officer Shivaprakash rushed to the school on Friday. After gathering information from the parents and the school teachers, he informed that the school will be issued a notice to submit detailed report within 24 hours.

“Suitable action will be taken against the school,” said Shivprakash and added that depriving students from examination for better results was wrong.
