Truck overturns on NH-63 in Yellapur, traffic affected

A goods-laden truck overturned on a curve of the Arbail Ghat section of National Highway 63 in Yellapur Taluk early on October 17 morning.

The accident is said to have been caused by a pothole on the road. As a result, the truck skidded and toppled over, thus completely obstructing traffic.

Vehicles were lined up for 3-4 kilometers as the road remained blocked.

Efforts to remove the overturned truck with the help of a crane were underway, and traffic was expected to resume once the road was cleared.
