Udupi: Close shave for car driver, biker after tree collapse

A car driver and another bike rider had a miraculous escape after a huge tree collapsed at Ambalpadi Road in Brahmagiri here.

While the car driver escaped unhurt by a whisker in the mishap, the biker sustained minor injuries.

Mescom department personnel along with traffic police and locals cleared the tree debris and facilitated vehicular movement.

Heavy rains lashing the district for the last few days have affected normal life. Flash floods and water logging were reported at several areas.
