Vittal: Gang rape victim gives birth to baby boy; another accused arrested

Bantwal: One more person has been arrested by Vitla police in connection to the sexual assault of a minor girl by various men. The accused identified as Punit alias Purushotama (21), a resident of Vittalmudnoor, has been produced in the court.

According to the girl’s who was sexually assaulted by five men on different occasions, the accused used to have physical relation with her, when no one was around in the house, when she was going to school. Soon after the incident came to light, the accused went absconding.

The victim girl gave birth to a baby boy in the government hospital of Mangaluru on the night of Thursday. Both the mother and child are said to be in healthy condition.
