Widespread rain in Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts

Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada and Udupi recorded moderate to very heavy rain on Saturday, May 29 morning. It was widespread.

Heavy rain lashed Mangaluru since Friday night.

Rain led to water-logging near the Pumpwell flyover, Padil underpass, Kottara chowki, and few other areas.

Motorists had problems driving through the waterlogged stretch on the Pumpwell flyover service road.

Meanwhile, an anchored fishing boat belonging to Srikanth Tingalaya sunk partially after being inundated with water due to heavy rainfall.
