Woman kills self and daughter in Mulki

• Mother-daughter missing since morning

Mulki: In a heart rending incident, a woman committed suicide by jumping into a well along with her five-year-old daughter at Gerukatte near here on Thursday morning, August 2^nd.

The deceased have been identified as Sujatha (48), wife of Sudhakar a resident near Gerukatte Junior College and her daughter Krithika (5).

According to sources, the mother and daughter were missing since 930 am the morning. An intensive search was carried and eventually the mortal remains of the two victims were found floating in the well.

Mulki police are investigating the case and the reason for suicide is yet to be ascertained.
