Bengaluru: Tejasvi Surya to tie the knot with Shivashree Skanda Prasad in March

The long-awaited news about Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya’s marriage has been confirmed. The young politician is set to embark on a new chapter in his life, tying the knot with Chennai-based Carnatic singer and Bharatanatyam dancer Shivashree Skanda Prasad.

Tejasvi Surya and Shivashree Skanda Prasad will exchange vows on March 5 and 6 in Bengaluru. The decision was finalized two months ago with the approval of both families. The ceremony is expected to be an intimate affair.

Although the families of both Tejasvi and Shivashree have not made an official announcement, close associates have confirmed the news. Shivashree is said to have accompanied Tejasvi at the Ironman Marathon held in Goa.

Who is Shivashree Skanda Prasad?

Shivashree Skanda Prasad is a renowned Carnatic vocalist and Bharatanatyam artist. She holds a B.Tech degree in Bioengineering, an MA in Bharatanatyam from the University of Madras, and an MA in Sanskrit from Madras Sanskrit College. She is passionate about cycling, trekking, and marathons and actively maintains a YouTube channel with over 200,000 followers.

Shivashree gained national recognition during the inauguration of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir when she performed the Kannada song “Poojisalende Hoovugal Tande” dedicated to Lord Rama. The performance, shared on her YouTube channel, caught the attention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who tweeted his appreciation for her rendition.
