Hyderabad couple's sunroof kiss video goes viral, ignites controversy

A video capturing a couple engaged in a public display of affection from the sunroof of a moving car on PV Narasimha Rao Expressway in Hyderabad has ignited a heated debate online. As of now, the local police have not issued a statement regarding the footage.

In the video, a man donning a white T-shirt is seen showering the woman with multiple kisses from the sunroof of a KIA Seltos. They engage in conversation and savor the surrounding scenery. Shortly thereafter, the man gestures towards the sky.

The clip has evoked a spectrum of reactions. Many are urging authorities to take action against the couple, citing concerns for public safety. Some have expressed that in the process of Hyderabad’s development, basic ethics, principles, and good social behavior have been overlooked.

“I’m the most pro-PDA person you’ll ever meet but this is stupid! One sudden break and they’ll risk their lives and others around them,” voiced one user.

Others have come to the couple’s defense, emphasizing personal freedom while also acknowledging safety concerns.

“Apart from coming out of sunroof on a moving car the couple has done nothing wrong, let them enjoy their age,” opined another user. Another added, “Until they’re not disturbing others that’s okay in my opinion! You don’t have to interfere in others’ life.”

“What do you think sunroofs exist for? and what inconvenience are they causing to you?” queried a user.

“It’s their personal thing, no issues – but from a safety point of view on the roads, the sun/moon roof can be fatal for them if the driver brakes all of a sudden. That’s all the issue is, since they have to be happily alive,” reflected a fourth person.
