Karkala: Woman dies after childbirth

Karkala: A pregnant head constable working in the town police station here died after delivering her child on Thursday, March 5. The deceased, Shyamala (37) was admitted to Dr T.M.A. Pai Rotary Hospital at Karkala where she delivered her child on Tuesday, March 3. Due to excessive bleeding after the delivery she was shifted to a private hospital at Manipal where she died. Shyamala's husband, Giridhar Pai, too works at the Karkala police station.
